6.1 million gallons in annual potable water savings through alternate sourcing for irrigation water.

DRF integrated multiple irrigation systems on the hospital campus by providing a common mainline, re-implementing an existing well, and designing and installing a filtration system.

The project paid for itself in less than one year – resulting in annual potable water savings was 6.1 million gallons.

This resource conservation project completed by DRF has eliminated potable water use for irrigation and all related costs. Iron materials have been removed from the well water preventing staining of the hardscape and concrete structures. The new, efficient irrigation system provides reliable watering that generates healthy turf and plantings with increased root growth. Creating a single looped water mainline with multiple isolation points has eliminated system downtime due to damage. DRF’s experienced, licensed management of the system provides a budget surplus.
